We are the Village!

Teach X is a beloved community of School Leaders, Teachers and Teaching Artists all working together to ensure that ALL students are prepared for the future. We believe teachers are not alone in this work and that teaching is a team sport. So we recruit real- live, genius graphic designers, film producers, painters, musicians, developers,woodsmiths and many more to be a part of our village to nurture and teach the next generation of geniuses because it truly takes a village.

Teach X connects Teachers to Teaching Artists, on our virtual marketplace, to provide students with real-world experiences, exposure to creative and in-demand careers, and an ecosystem of supporters to prepare them for the future.

Why Do We Do It?

The future of work is changing and so should how we prepare the next generation for it. But it is not. Our schools are still stuck in industrial age models of learning when the future is changing to a more creative and knowledge driven economy. This hurts our students in underserved schools the most when their life truly does depend on their education. Our teachers are trying their best, but they are tired and feel unsupported in doing this huge job alone too. This is evident with the growing Teacher shortage and the widening gap in income inequality. So, Teach X had to do something and that’s why we built the village our teachers, students and schools needed.

We believe that as our students gain more real-world experiences directly in the classroom, gain critical exposure to new careers and skills and have a strong ecosystem of supporters to help prepare them, then we can truly prepare them for the future and support our school Teachers along the way.
